The story of Lady Khadija Mother of the Believers

Part Five: The Mother of the Believers and the Public Call. . .

The revelation of the verses from God to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, continued (meaning succession) and (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her) heard them and broadcast them among the women he liked, and God’s teachings to His Prophet continued, so (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her and pleased with her) was the first to He receives it and uses it.

The teachings of Islam began to spread among those with sound minds, good hearts, and pure souls, who realized the good things in this world and the hereafter.

Some of the elders of Mecca, and many of the weak and enslaved, believed in it, because they found in this new religion a savior from the injustice, humiliation, and enslavement they were facing.

They found him enjoining justice and benevolence, giving back to relatives, forbidding indecency, evil, and transgression, treating people equally, and bringing together dispersed powers into one unit, working for good on the side of God.

The rulers of Mecca began to doubt (meaning to feel doubt) this religion, to fear its power, and to fear its teachings. They became aware of the large number of people embracing it (meaning to believe in it) day after day, so they began to plot (meaning to plan harm) for those who would enter. And there is an extremely violent plot in it.

If they were slaves or weak, they tortured them with the harshest forms of torture, to make them leave their new religion and return them to their old religion.

And (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her) provides these weak people with her money and showers them with her compassion, after the infidels expelled them and deprived them of work and the right to life.

She also had to donate her money to free the slaves, who were subjected to the harshest forms of harm and torment, morning and evening, because they abandoned idols and said: Our Lord is God.

She was open-hearted to this jihad, approaching it with enthusiasm, energy, and determination, and the more its glow intensified, the more her joy and pleasure increased.

Her happiness intensified when she gave birth to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, his son Abdullah.

The house shook with joy for (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her), and the loved ones came quickly to congratulate her. (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her and pleased with her) gave her gifts to the poor and needy, and gave to the needy, placing all her hope in this newborn who came after intense thirst. Hand.

But God wills, and there is no one to prevent His decree, and out of a wisdom that He knows, He chose Abdullah next to Him after a short while, and the house shook violently, and (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her and her soul) cried, and her daughters were sad, and (the Prophet, the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) came to her greatly. With his sadness, He consoles her, and consoles them.

In the beginning, the rulers of Mecca looked at the call of the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, as they looked at the call of the wise men who preceded him, even though they mocked his followers and amused themselves by teasing or torturing them when they saw them or dealt with them.

He (the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) did not direct the invitation to these leaders publicly, but rather he was calling to God in secret.

This call continued in secret for three years, during which the Muslims fled with their prayers and worship to the paths (meaning the road in the mountain) of Mecca, and they gathered secretly in someone’s house, speaking to each other in whispers, and staying away from the eyes of the Quraysh leaders as much as they could.

One day, the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered upon Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her, worried, and he seemed to be thinking heavily. She sensed what was on his mind, and approached him with a smile, then asked him gently:

– Good, O Messenger of God! Is there anything more important to you than those evil people who hate the religion of God?!

(The Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) looked at her tender, bright face, then recited to her the words of God Almighty:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (And warn your closest kindred (214) and lower your wings to those of the believers who follow you (215) then if they disobey you, say, O I am innocent of what you do (216) And put your trust in the Mighty, the Most Merciful (217) Who sees you when you stand (218) and turns among those who prostrate (219) Indeed, He is the Hearer, the Knower (220) “God the Great has spoken the truth” “Surat Al-Shu’ara’, verses from (214 to 220)”

Then the face of (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her and her satisfaction) opened up and became more radiant, and she said quietly:

– Indeed, O Messenger of God, it is necessary to warn your closest clan and convey to them the message of your Lord, so that they will hear the word of God, ponder His affairs, and be blinded by what others have received of God’s grace, and those who love Him. O Messenger of God, ask for abundant goodness from your relatives?!

– Aren’t you, O Messenger of God, calling for the truth and the straight path?!

– God is with you, and He will not let you down or abandon you, so call upon them as your Lord has commanded you, and talk to them, and recite to them the Holy Qur’an. Perhaps their hearts will be softened when they hear of the truth, and their souls will be inclined to what they know of honesty, and they will overcome their devils and enter into the true religion of God. .

– Otherwise, your Lord is watching over the wrongdoers (meaning the path of monitoring and surveillance, meaning that God watches them and monitors their movements and deeds and holds them accountable for them).

The opinion was settled that Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her, would prepare food for them in her house, invite them to it, and then present to them the command of God, the teachings of His religion, the purposes of His message, and the goodness that it entails for all people.

Perhaps they will abandon falsehood and return to the truth, and the confrontation will affect their hardened hearts and soften them.

In the morning, (the Prophet, Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) went out to them, inviting them to a feast (meaning the abundant food that is found at parties and occasions), which he had hosted for them, and (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her and her satisfaction) was busy preparing the food, hoping that they would respond to the invitation. (The Prophet, the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace), and they enter into his religion, and do not become arrogant, and do not let their pride lead them to sin, and the matter will end and peace will return.

When it was time for lunch, the people gathered in the house of (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her), with warm welcome, kind greetings, cheerfulness, and good cheer. Then they sat and talked about money and its affairs, trade and its types and methods, and affairs of war and peace.

When they ate what they wanted of delicious and luxurious food, (the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) wanted to talk to them about his call, but they could not bear to listen, and they snapped and revolted, and went out angry and discontented.

Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her, began to speak softly to him in a calm, gentle voice:

– Do not despair, O Messenger of God, for you are calling them to what is best for them. If they are guided, it is for themselves, and if they go astray, then the sin of their stubbornness is upon them.

– Is there any objection to inviting them again? Perhaps they have understood, and the truth to which they were blind has become clear to them!

One recent morning, he (the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) ascended “Al-Safa” (a place located on Mount Abu Qubais in Mecca) and called from above it at the top of his voice, saying:

– O people of Quraysh, oh people of Quraysh! To me!

When they heard his call, they hurried to look and ask him to clarify what he wanted, then they came to him and asked him about the reason for this shouting and this call, so he informed them that his Lord had commanded him to warn them and convey his call to them openly, so he stood and conveyed to them the command of Ra. And He warns them of His wrath, and calls them to the All-Knowing, the One, the All-Aware, the One, the Eternal, the One who has no partner. He has no children.

They burst out laughing and laughing, and his uncle Abdul-Uzza shouted in extreme anger:

– Damn you, Muhammad! Is this why you brought us together, disturbed our comfort, and wasted our time?!

Then the faces of the companions of (the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) changed, and his uncles looked at each other in astonishment, then they turned their gazes to Abdul-Uzza, and directed them to him in anger, and they blamed him for belittling his nephew in front of the large crowd of people.

It was as if he had no clan standing beside him, and those who loved (the Messenger Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace), wished that he had dealt Abd al-Uzza a powerful blow that would silence his tongue, rip out his heart, and avenge his insults against his nephew and her mistress. He ended up with his family.

And God was with His Messenger, so He sent down His revelation to him with the silent answer, and he (the Prophet, Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) recited it to the people, shouting at the top of his voice, after seeking refuge in God from the Most Merciful Satan, saying:

– (The hands of Abu Lahab remained and he repented. (1) His wealth and what he earned did not avail him. (2) He will enter a blazing fire. (3) And his wife will be a bearer. (4) In her bosom is a rope of hardwood (5)) “God Almighty has spoken the truth” “Surat Al-Masad” .

This divine response radiated like lightning, until it included all of Mecca, and was echoed by the mouths of men and women, old and young, and reached the ears of Abd al-Uzza and his wife Umm Jamil, as a scathing sarcasm and powerful bombardment. They became very angry, and Abd al-Uzza decided to avenge himself and silence them (meaning He ties it), so it does not speak. . With these deadly words.

Umm Jamil swore to take revenge on (the Prophet and Messenger Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him) and (Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her), and to make fire and evil engulf them. She rushed to her husband, angry at the women’s mockery of her, with their words, and with the arrows that were directed at her. Their laughing eyes are from her, and from the rope that the Qur’an placed in her neck, and the firewood that she carries.

She started shaking him and shouting at him, saying:

– What remains after today, Abdul Uzza?! Either I am at home, or I am divorcing my daughter Khadija, so I strike back with the penetrating blow to her heart and the heart of her husband, just as you struck the fatal blow to my heart and your heart!

Abdul-Uzza was no less angry and rebellious than her, and determined to take quick revenge, so he rushed to his two sons, who had already concluded marriage contracts with Ruqayyah and Umm Kulthum, the daughters of the Messenger of God, but they had not consummated the marriage with them, and he shouted at them, saying: In distress:

– Did you hear what Muhammad said about me and your mother?! Either me or Khadija’s daughters! They must divorce, because it will break the hearts of Muhammad and his wife!

The two children thought for a while, then his anger increased, and he shouted threatening them, saying in a thick voice:

-What are you thinking, boys?! If you do not divorce them, I am not your father, and I will sever my connection with you as long as I like, and then I will die angry with you!

In the face of their father and mother’s revolt, the two boys had no choice but to sacrifice their love, submit to what their revolting father and mother wanted, and divorce the two girls even though they felt hurt. Deep in their chests, they know that they will never make up for them, as there is no one like them in beauty, literature, and a good upbringing.

When the news reached Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her, she jumped up and shouted, saying in great joy:

– Praise be to God. May God remove great evil from us and have mercy on us.

Then she raised her hands to the sky, thanking the grace of God who had separated her two meek, gentle, and polite daughters from the two sons of Abu Lahab, and had taken them from the house of Umm Jamil’s impertinent (meaning long-tongued) tongue, malicious and kind-hearted (meaning inwardly), and distanced them from her evil and harm.

(The Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him) was pleased with this success, and he thanked his Lord who saved his two daughters from the evil of Abu Lahab and his wife, and Othman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, married Mrs. Ruqayyah, may God be pleased with her and pleased with her.

But he was certain that their war would not end, and that these two villains would develop apparent hostility and blatant machinations.

(Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her and her satisfaction) expected that Umm Jamil would begin scheming against her, as women plot against each other and more, for Umm Jamil surpasses everyone in this field, in terms of evil and harm, with what she was born with, was raised in, and lived in under his protection.
