Palm trunk with the Prophet Muhammad , Today’s story is one of the Islamic children’s stories presented to you by the 10books website, which tells about the trunk of the palm tree that yearned and cried out of longing for the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and this is the position that was mentioned by the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, in the authentic and honorable hadiths of the Prophet and which is mentioned in Sahih Al-Bukhari.

Palm trunk

A hadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari says that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, used to climb on a cut trunk of a palm tree to deliver the Friday sermon on this cut trunk.

One day, a woman from the Ansar came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said to him, “O Messenger of God, should we not make a pulpit for you to deliver the sermon on?” The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, agreed, so this woman ordered her son, who was a carpenter, to make a pulpit of wood for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. After this noble pulpit was made,

They placed it in the mosque and they had put the trunk of the palm tree aside, and when Friday came and the Messenger, peace and blessings of God be upon him, ascended the new pulpit to deliver the Friday sermon and began the sermon, then the trunk was heard with nostalgia and crying like a boy’s crying, so the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, came down from the pulpit and interrupted the Friday sermon, and the trunk came and embraced (i.e. embraced it). So the trunk settled.

In a second narration, it was reported that the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said that if I had not adhered to the trunk, he would have continued to yearn and cry until the Hour of Resurrection.

In a third narration, the companion said that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whispered a word to the trunk, and the Beloved, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said to the trunk: If you wish, we will plant you and you will return more beautiful than you were. If you wish, you will be planted in Paradise, so that the believers will eat from you. So the trunk chose to be planted in Paradise so that the believers would eat from it.

When the Muslims came to develop and rebuild the mosque, it is said that Ubayy ibn Ka’b took this palm tree trunk and kept it until the trunk became worn out, eaten up by the earth, and decomposed.

Therefore, when Al-Hasan Al-Basri narrated this hadith about the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, he would say, Glory be to God, an inanimate object that longs for the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, while human hearts do not yearn for the groups of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him.

I wish Muslims were now jealous of this palm tree trunk

  1. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.
